World Kindness Event Needs Kind Volunteers

Updated: Nov 28, 2023

** UPDATED 11/28 ** As the WGA teachers and students prepare for 2nd quarter on-campus event, we will need a handful of parent volunteers to support some of the activities.

Kindness World Tour is the big 2nd-quarter event at WGA. It is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6th from 4:30-6:00 p.m. and co-sponsored by WGA Specials and Kinder-2nd grade. It features the wealth of diversity and cultures through performances, arts, sports, clothing, and traditions.

UPDATE: This is a WGA-hosted event. PTO is only supporting with volunteers. For all information about event details and family participation, check out the post in ParentSquare.

Below are 3 volunteer opportunities:

1. Hot Cocoa Stand (FLitE)

Mrs. Wodarcyk is looking for a few parent volunteers to help 2nd, 5th and 6th grade students run the hot cocoa stand during the evening. Volunteers will be mainly supervising the students as they run the stand, making sure they count the money correctly and hand out the appropriate change if needed.

UPDATE: We are looking for hot cocoa supply donations. Click here to select from items to donate.

2. Currency Stand (FLitE)

Mrs. Wodarcyk is looking for a few parent volunteers to help supervise the students while they run the stand. Items will be made in class and hand out at the World Kindness Event on a first come, first serve basis, so make sure each person only gets one item!

3. Parade Videographer

Mrs. Wodarcyk is looking for 2 parents to capture the parade on video (from 4:45-5:00pm - just 15 mins). You don't need to be a professional with the camera. She just needs to capture the footage of the parade from a few angles.

If interested, reach out to the PTO directly at wgapto@gmail.com with the subject line "Kindness Parade".

All PTO volunteer opportunities are listed at wgapto.org/volunteer
