From volunteer opportunities to each fundraising campaign, every effort is made to support the mission of WGA to provide quality teaching and learning.
The PTO Does That?
PTO support comes primarily through fundraising and volunteering efforts. The WGA PTO considers all requests that would normally fall outside of the district's school budget/staff before approving any expenditures and allocating resources. Requests can come from any WGA PTO member or WGA teacher/staff and PTO works in conjunction with school administration to best fulfill opportunities.

Funding Sources
Our check-a-thon accounts for 80% of PTO's annual budget. It is the biggest fundraising effort of the year and typically occurs at the beginning of the second quarter. Thanks to the dedication and efforts of our Check-a-thon committee, it's one of the most exciting events of the year! Go to the Check-a-thon page for all event updates.
Other active fundraising activities include the beginning and end-of-school-year celebrations, restaurant nights, and concession sales during family night events. Our families are also able to help support WGA PTO through our partner give-back programs.
